What You Need to Bring to Your Appointment (*Important - Please Read*):

1. Bring all tax and bookkeeping documents that apply to you: Before your appointment, gather every slip, statement, receipt, and form related to your taxes or bookkeeping (ex: T4s, T5s, T3s, RRSP slips, tuition slips, rental or business income records). If you’re unsure whether something matters, bring it anyway—missing documents are the #1 reason filings get delayed.

2. Bring valid government-issued photo identification. Please arrive with a current driver’s licence, passport, or other government-issued photo ID: We may need to confirm identity for certain filings, account changes, CRA access, or business setup steps.

3. Bring your CRA account details (if available): If you have them, bring (or have access to) your CRA My Account login, your Notice of Assessment from last year, and any CRA letters you’ve received. These help us confirm carry-forward amounts, instalments, balances owing, and any CRA requests.

4. Bring your banking and payment information (when relevant): If you want direct deposit set up, refunds deposited, or you’re paying a balance owing, bring a void cheque or direct deposit info and a payment method. For businesses, bringing a recent bank statement can help reconcile and confirm activity.

5. Bring key business details (for business clients). If your appointment involves a business (sole prop or corporation), please bring your business number (BN), GST/HST info, payroll info (if you have employees), prior-year financials/tax filings (if applicable), and any bookkeeping files/software access (QuickBooks, Wave, spreadsheets, etc.).

6. Bring a list of questions and any deadlines you’re working against. Write down what you want help with (tax planning, bookkeeping cleanup, GST, payroll, incorporation, etc.) and let us know any due dates. This helps us prioritize the appointment and ensure you leave with clear next steps.

*Please remember: If you’re missing something, don’t cancel—come anyway. We can often still move forward, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s needed to finish everything correctly.*
